A cultural center to host local parades of the “gegants,” or giants, is situated on a plaza overlooking the harbor. The Cultural Center unfolds, from the upper level to the street. The plaza to its front has been reformed with processional routes running through it, allowing parading giants and the denizens of Barcelona alike to circulate through it.
A truss system supports the floor plates, with the circulation wrapping around this centralized system. The space unfolds into the plaza, where alternating concrete and grass covered plates face the circulation routes.
